Finally i can have good sleep and ended all my tension for the finals exam. These two weeks really torture me and forced me to keep memorizing all those theories (really hate memorize without understanding) but nothing can do and that's the only way can do. Although it already passed but i want to my "geng" la who struggle and help me a lot. First i want thank to my two gays partner Wai hong because of giving me the guidelines and print all the notes by his hand and Ong Hui Siong because let all of us sleep at his house.After that also want thank to Ah yim and puli la because of ...em..anything la ya...hehe...

By last, today might be last day to use this broadband online at house lo...Haiz...so will not online anymore and update my this "lame" blog for some period:(. See you next semester ya..Bye..

Myth of Malay Muslims

Have you watched Potong Saga produced by 15Malaysia? Yes, its funny, but full with message. That's a reality happened in Malaysia society. Misconception by non-Muslims, but don't blame them. It is misinterpretation by the Malay Muslims itself. (Yes, I talk about Malay Muslims not Chinese Muslims, Indian Muslims, African Muslims or Mat Salleh Muslims).

Myth No. 1: All Malays born as Muslims. Once you convert Islam, you are convert to Malays too.

The truth is Islam is not an exclusive religion. Its universal, all are welcome to embrace it. No single race in the world can claim such statement. Even Arabs never claim they 100% are Muslims. Just google Arab Christians. Surprisingly Baath Party (ruled by Saddam) founded by an Arab Christian, Michel Aflaq. Plus popular songbird in Middle East, Najwa Karam also a Christian. Interestingly, Jerusalem (situated in Arabs country) house of three holy places for Christian, Jew and Islam. If all Arabs are Muslims, we can see only Islam holy place built there today.

Have you ever notice any Chinese, Indian, African, American, or Australian declared themselves as Malays once they convert to Islam in another country? They still hold their ethnicities and races.

Myth No. 2: Once a Chinese or Indian convert to Islam, you have to change your name into Arabs name and put Abdullah as your father's name.

Maybe Malay Muslims never heard or came across of Hui Liangyu (China vice premier) and Sania Mirza (tennis player). Their name never resembles like "Arabs" but they are Muslims. Hey, Yvonne Redley (reporter once detained by Taliban), Nicolas Anelka and Frank Ribery (both footballers) still proud to be called by their original name after converting to Islam. Even some Malays also having pure Malays name instead of Arabs (eg: Cempaka, Puteri, Dayang, Awang, Tuah) but still Islam.

Apa ada pada nama? As long as the meaning of the name is good, whatever language is allowed.

Myth no. 3: Non Muslims not allowed to use Assalamualaikum. Its exclusive for Muslims, otherwise you insulting Islam.

The fact is Assalamualaikum is word with good meaning, peace be upon you. Widely used in Middle East not only by Muslims but also extends to non-Muslims too. If in Semenanjung, the Muslims quite fanatical on usage of salam, unlike in Sarawak and Sabah. They exchange salam freely regardless of religion.

Myth No. 4: A Muslims must not follow Chinese and Indian cultures, otherwise you are deviate from pure Islamic teaching.

A Muslim cannot eat by chopstick, cannot speak mandarin or tamil in mosque, cannot wear cheongsam, or saree, cannot enter church and temple, cannot paid final respect on Chinese and Indian funeral, . The list goes on.

Hey, culture is unique, to differentiate between one people in one place to another. Islam does recognize culture in its teaching as long as not compromise the believe or faith itself. So, what's on earth a Muslim cannot eat by chopstick even talk Tamil or Mandarin inside a mosque? Maybe Chinese Muslim in China eat by hand like Malays. And maybe Indian Muslims in India and Chinese Muslims in China talk Malays in their mosque too.

Have you ever saw Chinese Muslims in China or India Muslims in India wearing baju Melayu or baju kurung? Ironically Malays Muslims in Malaysia allowed to wear suit, hat and necktie like a westerners.

Caliph Umar even once paid a visit to church in Jerusalem, he even invited by the priest to pray inside church, yet he declines as it will create wrong impression that Islam want to take over the church. Even non-Muslims are allowed to enter a mosque in certain conditions.

It is narrated that Prophet Muhammad stood up when a Jewish funeral procession pass in front of him as a sign of respect among men relationship.

These are examples of several myth practised by Malay Muslims resulted from narrow interpretation.

Maybe they forget, Islam come to China and India long before Tanah Melayu. Maybe they overlook that Muslims in China and India are outnumber Malays. Maybe they disregard that Islam come to Tanah Melayu via Arabs and Chinese (Admiral Cheng Ho).

EXAM?

Final exam is coming soon but i'm still not yet do my revision .REVISION? NO....Totally boring.. This semester really gonna to kill me and dispel me from college. I have calculated that still have 7 months to go for me in college and then will be graduated.This 7 months are not easy to go through because it will be very tough and difficult the coming subjects. Haiz...

Relief

Today when i was driving to college i get myself into emo mood again. I already try my best to overcome this emotion and pull myself out from it. After a long drive to college and as usual i'm late to the class again. Once i step into the class and not even sit properly then suddenly Mainson told me that " Han yew you fail your make good test (PRST), you get 48 out of 100". Then i just like nothing and optimistic and answer him back " Hai ya, She won't fail me la and she will let me pass and sit for the final exam geh". Huh,I thought i really never care about it although Miss Yesu had told us that who gonna fail the paper again will never sit for the final.Then after a while i starting get worried already. I actually want to ask mainson again to confirm it and then ah Yim come and tell me "No la, you get 58 la not 48". Once i heard about it i just so surprise cause yesterday when i sit for the test i really so blank and don't know how to answer it. Although the passing rate for this test is 60 and i just get 58 but i'm sure that Miss yesu won't be so strictly and fail me. After i heard about it really a relief to me. 3 more weeks to go for the final and have to start my revision already hope everything will go smoothly in my study and i know there is no take 2 in life. Appreaciate whatever that i have now and love my family.

Apa yang menyebabkan mata kau menitiskannya adalah kerana perkataan yang kukatakan boleh meretakan hati kau serta-merta.Mungkinkah kau bukan yang dulu lagi, Mungkin sahaja rasa it telah pergi. Hatiku berkecai bagaikan serpihan-serpihan cermin yang berpecah di lantai engkau.Suara, senyuman dan bayang kau senantiasa sahaja akan ku nampak apabila ku rasa pilu. Segalanya berubah munkin kerana kenaikan baran pada kau dan aku disaat itu membelahkan hati kita.

Bahasa Malaysia dan Bahasa Inggeris

Saya berasa tiba masanya saya menggunakan Bahasa Malaysia untuk menulis blog di sini.Walaubagaimanapun Bahasa Inggeris dan Bahasa Malaysia juga akan saya digunakan untuk menulis blog disini. Dengan ini, saya hanya mahu untuk mengimbangi dalam penggunaan kedua-dua bahasa ini untuk diri saya. Pada kebiasaanya saya lebih menggunakan Bahasa Inggeris dan Bahasa ibunda saya di dalam kolej. Kolej saya juga jarang sekali menawarkan subjek-subjek yang diajar dalam Bahasa Malaysia.

Bagi diri saya, saya lebih gemar bertutur dan menulis menggunakan Bahasa Malaysia kerana saya mendapati diri saya lebih berpontensi dan lebih mendominasi bahasa Malaysia secara keseluruhanya. Inilah yang berlaku pada saya!!
Saya berasa sama seperti pengkhianat bangsa saya kerana saya tidak tahu menulis dan membaca bahasa ibunda saya.Walau apapun saya juga berasa amat bertuah pada diri saya kerana saya boleh bertutur dalam Bahasa Cina, Bahasa Melayu dan Bahasa Inggeris dengan fasih.

Justeru itu, saya menulis blog ini menggunakan Bahasa Malaysia kerana saya mahu mingmbangi penggunaan Bahasa Inggeris dan Bahasa Melaysia untuk diri saya.Pada masa ke semasa saya menghadapi kesukaran menulis dan bertutur dalam Bahasa Malaysia.Saya berharap dengan menggunakan Bahasa Malaysia dan Bahasa Inggeris menulis blog dapat memperbaiki Bahasa saya kerana bidang yang diambil dalam kolej saya memerlukan kefasihan yang tinggi dalam kedua-dua bahasa ini.
